Local activities

  •     Child friendly beaches a short drive away, with a pebble beach at the end of the lane.
  •     Schull is a centre for water based activities such as sailing and diving, sea fishing, whale watching and many other watersports.
  •     Take a ferry to the islands of Cape Clear, Sherkin and Hare Island.
  •     Golf can be played at nearby Bantry, Glengariff or Schull.
  •     West Cork has many well known restaurants, with the award winning Blair's Cove House 1/2 km away.

  •     See the range of antiquities including some of Ireland's best known stone circles.
  •     The area offers great walks including the Sheep's Head Way.

Our favourite pastime here is walking the quiet lanes, talking to locals and relaxing in the pure Atlantic air. The Sheep's Head Way and Beara Way are walking trails for the more adventerous. We often pick blackberries or mushrooms on the lane , and cook fresh fish on the barbecue in the garden. The Atlantic Gulf Stream makes the climate here the mildest in Ireland.  Or you can  just relax here and admire the view.

The bay can be seen from all bedrooms
